A General Description
An X-ray is a medical test that uses low doses of radiation to allow doctors to see inside the body. X-rays are safe and effective for people of all ages and can help diagnose everything from broken bones to pneumonia to cancer. Many simple X-rays such as those for the abdomen, chest, fingers, feet, hands and bones don't require any preparation. For those that do, see Tests and Procedures.
Please arrive 10 minutes before your appointment and bring the requisition provided by your physician.
